One day training course for environmental health practitioners responsible for enforcing the provisions of the International Health Regulations at sea and air ports.
What is covered?
- Implications of the IHRs 2005 for port health work
- Implementation and practicalities of the IHRs at airports and seaports
- Practicalities of issuing ship sanitation certificates
- International Health scenarios at airports
The course will be a mixture of presentations and practical workshop sessions and will provide officers with information on the latest developments and an opportunity to discuss the practicalities of working with the IHRs.

- Environmental health officers responsible for enforcing the provisions of the IHRs at ports
- Of particular interest to Scottish authorities with a presentation of the Scottish experience so far.
