Preparing for Emergencies at Sea and Air Ports

A one day training course for those with statutory responsibilities under the Civil Contingencies Act at sea and air ports in Scotland. 

The course has been specifically designed for port health officers and managers but will also be useful for emergency planners and port medical officers.

Aim 
To ensure that Port Health personnel have the foundation knowledge for:   
 

  • Understanding the context and environment in which Port Health and Local Authorities will operate in a civil emergency.

  • Understanding the planning processes required to allow Port Health and Local Authorities to effectively contribute to emergency responses while remaining sufficiently resilient to carry out their own roles and responsibilities.

Cost
£135 per delegate for APHA member authorities, £185 for non members excluding VAT. Prices include lunch and refreshments.
